Currently in development, the 1683–1691 East Pender Street and 485 Commercial Drive project will bring forward two independent developments on separate sites: a 22-storey purpose-built rental building delivered by Cressey, and a new six-storey supportive housing and social services building delivered by The Kettle Society.
The project reflects an interesting approach to land use, allowing each entity to focus on what they do best: The Kettle Society delivering supportive housing and social services, and Cressey delivering much-needed secured rental housing.
Together, the projects will deliver 236 secured rental homes, 40 supportive housing homes, and a new 14,000-square-foot Social Services Centre, more than doubling The Kettle Society’s capacity to support individuals and families in the community.
