Some homes leave a lasting impression - not just for how they look, but for how they make you feel.

For Karen and Jim Best, that feeling has come from living in not just one, but four Cressey homes over the years.

Currently settled in Beverley in White Rock, the couple has been enjoying their seaside home since 2017. “We love every minute of it,” they share, sitting comfortably in their light-filled suite with sweeping views and a calm sense of place. But their connection with Cressey goes back much further.

Their first home purchase was at Glaciers Reach in Whistler in 1997. Since then, they’ve continued to turn to Cressey, drawn to what they describe as a family-like experience, one that extends beyond the walls of the home. “When you buy from Cressey, you immediately feel like you’re part of the organization,” Jim says. “It just fits.”

After ten years in a single-family home in South Surrey, the couple was ready for a change not necessarily to downsize, but to simplify. “We were at that point: do we renovate, or do we move?” Karen reflects. “This felt right. One-level living, new, well-designed - it ticked all the boxes.”

The Beverley offered just what they were looking for: quality design, thoughtful amenities, and a scale that felt comfortable. “We didn’t want to be in a 25 or 26-storey building,” Jim notes. “This is ideal. It’s a great size.”

They moved in with almost nothing to change - the layout, finishings, and views were exactly what they had hoped for. “Late in life, I get my dream place to live,” Jim smiles.

Their Cressey journey continues with a recent purchase at Caban in Kelowna, drawn once again to the quality and care they’ve come to trust.

From their very first home to the one they now call their dream home, Karen and Jim’s story is a reminder that finding the right place is about more than bricks and mortar, it’s about trust, connection, and the feeling of truly being home.
