At Century, a new North Vancouver rental building by Cressey, community isn’t just a concept it’s something we actively cultivate. And at the heart of that effort is Georgia Semple, our dedicated Community Manager. Since joining Cressey in 2021, originally working in warranty and quality control, Georgia has brought her passion for people and connection into everything she does.
Now leading the community programming at Century, she’s focused on enriching daily life for residents through thoughtful events, creative partnerships, and wellness initiatives designed to foster a true sense of belonging.
We caught up with Georgia to learn more about her role, what inspires her, and what she believes makes a truly great community.
Georgia, what excites you most about leading community programming at Century?
Georgia: I really look forward to the opportunity to bring people together whether that’s through shared activities, events, or unique experiences. It’s all about creating moments that help people connect. My hope is that what we’re building here will have a real, positive impact on residents’ quality of life and make Century feel like home in every sense of the word.
In your view, what makes a community truly thrive?
Georgia: At the core, it’s about creating a sense of belonging. A place where people feel supported, seen, and connected. What’s special about Century is the range of opportunities we’re offering for residents to engage from fun social events to activities that support well-being, creativity, and health. It’s about meeting people where they are and helping them feel part of something bigger.
A Resident's Perspective
We also spoke to one Century resident, who shared how the community programming has impacted their experience:
“When I moved in, I didn’t know anyone in the building. After attending a few of the socials Georgia hosted, I started to recognize friendly faces in the elevator and around the neighbourhood. It’s made a huge difference and I really feel like I’m part of a community here.”
