The Federal Motor Co Building is located within a character-rich heritage building at the edge of Yaletown.
Federal Motor Co. Building
Built in 1920, the Federal Motor Co. Building is a distinctive heritage landmark located at the corner of Seymour and Drake Streets, on the edge of Vancouver's vibrant Yaletown neighbourhood.
Originally developed by Charles Edward Chapman as a showroom and garage for the Federal Motor Company, the building represents an important chapter in Vancouver's early automotive industry.
As one of the most significant surviving buildings from Seymour Street's historic automotive district, the property has witnessed more than a century of neighbourhood transformation. It was formally designated a heritage property by the City of Vancouver in 2005.
Today, the Federal Motor Co. Building offers approximately 12,000 square feet of distinctive commercial space, combining historic character with the vibrancy and accessibility of downtown Vancouver. Its prominent location, unique architectural features, and enduring heritage make it a remarkable example of how Vancouver's past continues to shape its urban landscape.
