2016 Dinner Party YVR
We are excited to announce Cressey’s involvement with DinnerPartyYVR (#DPYVR) as Presenting Partner for the third year in a row! The 2016 DinnerPartyYVR will take place on Saturday, April 9th, and tickets to your dinner of choice are now on sale. Grab yours before they sell out!
History of the event:
DinnerPartyYVR, a Social Bites production, was founded in 2013. To date, the annual event has raised more than $30,000 for local charities. This event has connected hundreds of Hobby Chefs, diners, charities, and partners around the dinner table for great conservations, marvelous meals, and a whole lot of fun. Here’s how it works:
Hobby chefs — aka people who love to cook and entertain — host dinner parties across Vancouver in support of their favourite charities. Diners select a meal to attend and have an awesome night out, meeting new friends, and then joining up with all of the other dinner party guests, Hobby Chefs, charity representatives and partners at the after party.
Partnering with DinnerPartyYVR, Cressey will be hosting its own dinner party with a delectable dinner crafted by Jason Pleym of Two Rivers Specialty Meats. All proceeds of the Cressey dinner will in support of two charitable organizations – Atira Women’s Resource Society and Potluck Café Society. - Atira Women’s Resource Society is a community-based organization that supports all women, and their children, who are experiencing the impact of violence committed against them and/or their children. Through education, advocacy and outreach, Atira is an active voice in the struggle to end violence against women and their children.
- Potluck Café Society’s mission is to transform lives by creating jobs and providing healthy food for people living in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES).
After the night’s dinners, chefs and attendees will make their way to the After Party to mix and mingle with everyone supporting these amazing charities!
